I have to say, the 'yurasuka' (pronounced "You're a sucker") track from Circle of Dust was pretty cool. I haven't bought an industrial album since the last Nine Inch Nails album I paid for (The Fragile, I think)... I felt like I've kind of moved on from that sort of brooding, thundering angst in my music.
I really enjoyed 'yurasuka,' though.
Did you know, Smitty, that they are a Christian band? I know, probably not, since you don't listen to lyrics. Truth to tell, I couldn't tell either, but Allmusic seems to think so.
Other impressions from listening to Show 39: I really think we need to be able to better hear the songs during the show, because if I don't hear the song real well (I completely whiffed on The National's Fake Empire - thought it was an electronic song), I can't offer any decent commentary.
Vampire Weekend is fun, but they're almost too indie for me - I think quirky indie bands have a trademark on that yelping howl. :) I guess I need to hear more before I can make up my mind in full.
